Faltering

I have six and a half hours of class meetings to work through until the term is finished. I blew off an hour and a half this afternoon when I was simply too overwhelmed with nonstop marking (still not out of the woods there and the Western Civ essays come in on Thursday) and student counselling.

That’s okay. Students used up those eighty minutes I’d hoped to apply to marking with yet more questions.

And tomorrow there’ll be two meetings shoehorned in as we try to set up next year’s timetable (already looking quite unpromising) and get through another round of grad program business. Plus the car goes into the garage in the morning for a tune-up. I’m actually anticipating that quite happily — a few minutes where I’m guaranteed to get no questions!
