Cap(r)itulation

I bought a pair of capri pants today. I really don’t much like the way that capri pants look, cutting off at mid-calf and all that. But we’re heading off on vacation to warm and sunny historic state and I’m loathe to be forced to choose only between shorts and jeans for my wardrobe. So I’ve cap(r)itulated to the inevitable.

I am not fond of them either. but given that where I work has been hitting 30C on very regular occassion all winter, i’m thinking that I’m going to need them just so I don’t melt over the summer. So I too have bought some, but for work, and hopefully I don’t look too silly in them. ;)

After this post, I would be tempted to think you bought them just so you could make that pun.

I do not buy capri pants, because they almost invariably hit me at the ankle anyhow. The joys of being short.

Hey kiddo, I promise not to take photos of you in the capri pants while on vacation OR if I do I will chopp you off at the knee. Okay? he he he

I made exactly the same decision today. I went into the store looking to buy shorts, but the once-again-popular Bermuda shorts don’t look good on anyone, and other shorts show too much leg (apparently I’ve become increasingly modest as I increase in girth). And so capris it was, even though I’m not convinced I look all that good in them. But one must have comfortable clothes to wear in summer, mustn’t one?!

Ozymandia and WN, misery loves company! At least we can all tell ourselves we’re fitting in with the crowd. Wolfa? I only wish I’d been so witty when I was shopping! The pun came to me only as I sat down at the computer. And Barbara? Thank you!
