What d’ya think?
Thursday’s my last teaching day of the week and a good thing. Even though we started with a holiday Monday off and Tuesday was pretty light work (two films took up part of the time in two classes), I’m as worn out as I would be from a regular week. I blame yesterday’s three hours of students dropping by my office for that and the monumental pile of marking that looms upon my desk.
I’ll have had the Western Civ essays a week and I’ve hardly started marking them (but they are alphabetized so that’s a big step). So there’s no way they’ll be done before I start teaching class in just over an hour. Think I should power through their last tutorial response sheets, instead, so I can hand those back at the end of the class and look good? (And, thus, forestall any questions about why the essays aren’t yet marked?)

Yes — get back the short things and promise the essays for Monday!

If the papers weren’t all in on time, every one, and I know they weren’t, then they can take what they get of your over-booked time.
