Sacrifices

Mike’s juggled his schedule at work so he’ll have Tuesday nights off from January onwards. This eases things up for me as I’ll be teaching Tuesday nights in the next term and we were worried about the girls (as in, “who’s going to be watching them?”)

I appreciate this juggling all the more because I know that to get Tuesday nights off to stay at home and ride herd on the children, he sacrificed his Thursday nights which he’s thoroughly enjoyed having as a wargaming outing each week.

It’s got a real O. Henry air to it, except I haven’t given up anything except my sanity and I don’t think that really counts as a sacrifice on his behalf.

I’m teaching a Tues/Thurs class in the spring. Now we just found out that my wife has a training on the first 10 Tuesday nights of 2006. Trying to line up a babysitter/s is a pain.
